Ada Byron

Ada Byron, daughter of the famed poet Lord Byron, was born in England on December 10, 1815. One of her most influential contribution in mathematics came in the form of groundbreaking theory that would eventually lead to the development of the computer. What is so interesting about this woman is the fact that she predicted the invention of the modern computer and fully anticipated what was in her time completely incomprehensible. In particular, she predicted the use of computer for the creation of complex music and imaging as well as doing calculations for personal and scientific use. She died on November 27, 1852 of cancer.
